BJ PENN.COM

Go check out BJ Penn.com and watch the videos from the signings RVCA did with him on Oahu. I throw down a little hosting at the end of the North Shore segment, I'm trying to impress my brother Tito who hosted 54321. Make sure you check out the rest of BJ's site because there is a lot to see, like the tips on fighting or the real mixed martial arts fights between big Island bradas.

PAT FALLON

This photo is priceless. Pat Fallon is a RVCA east coast rider and if you can't tell from the photo, he's a legend. Its an older photo and he's not looking so IRIE now but red-dreads are very rare and he should consider growing those things out again.
YAE PAT!!

Alex Knost

This was a cool piece that was in SURFING about his Gato Heroi by Robin Kegel. The best part is that it appears in the contents page and also right before Matt Biolis' shaping profile, Matt loves Gato Heroi so I'm sure he's stoked.

TURKEY with R-U-S-S-E-L-L

I spent most of Thanksgiving up in Santa Cruz with Machete fight lead singer and RVCA team rider Russell Smith. He took us surfing at some really splendid breaks, first we scored Natural Bridges and then Mitchelles Cove (there will be a video posted on Surfline soon). Overall it was an insane Turkey day and we all gave thanks for the waves by shredding them to the fullest. Also, Machete Fight is playing next weekend at the Catalyst so I'll keep you posted on exactly when.

Here is Russell with his scary Turkey eating face, gobble gobble.

This is one of the many unfamiliar sights you'll see after leaving the concrete jungle, some real broke back cowboy barns with cattle on the the range.

Here is another little sheep farm that sat right at the edge of the ocean, somewhere in Big Sur.

This is me and my brother before going surfing at one of my favorite waves, it is one of the best setups ever- empty line up and rolliing hills.

Daniel Jones- Man On Fire

Daniel Jones has been Killing it, he's slugging it out in the QS, making and still going in the round of 64 in the Haliewa 6*prime contest. He even made the local paper, holding it down as the home town hero.

Radical Rodents Are Gnar

Yae, thank for bringing this new form of shredding to my attention Jimmy. It's really important to have your feelers out there and stay on the pulse of whats going on. I just went stand up paddling over in Hawaii for the first time, now I'm way into Rodent Surfing, wait till I put out my Rodents demo tape.

SHAKAS HAWAII

Shaka, mahalo, aloha, ohno Oahu trip all pow. So I'm back on the "main land", hanging out with all the haoles again and trying to clean off all the red dirt. Overall the trip was good, met some bradas, surfed with Archy, went to Kalani David's 10th Bday, saw Rory, cheered on Daniel Jones in the Xcel at Sunset, surfed Queens and hung out with BJ Penn for a day. So stay tuned because I'll post a few more photos, holler.

Spend the Day with RVCA's BJ PENN

The day started out at Da Hui/Wolf Pak beach clean up and winter kick off festival. All the locals and BJ's friends were really excited to see him, rolling out the red carpet. Here's a few of the boyz: Chava, Kai, Kealili, Makua and BJ

The RVCA surf team and BJ signed tons of autographs at the beach clean up, stoking out all the kids and local shredders.

Event director Kala Alexander was really stoked BJ came out for the event.

After the North Shore we went to the Wykele Blue Hawaii, where tons of Bradas where waiting for their Hawaiian hero BJ. It was amazing to see how many fans came out to see BJ, all of a sudden people were coming from all angles to get an autograph from BJ. People were buying BJ trunks and T's to get em signed.

Tons of beautiful girls came out to meet BJ and get autographs. The big bradas like BJ and so do the ladies.

BJ and fan.

BJ and the whole Blue Hawaii Wykele staff.

BJ and Blue Hawaii Ala Moana shop employee.

BJ and Hoyt, checking into the hotel after a long day of stoking out the fans.

SHAKA Tray Miscellaneous

Nolan is an experienced waterman, but this day had his number. As you can tell from the facial expression, Nolan is scared for his life and Bob Hennessy is mad dogging the pit behind him.

Bob told Nolan, "Brada Nolan, wave break here- Don't Be There."

NOLO with the custom Archy tray. This thing was mad hard to scrape on, everyone had a hard time harnessing it's magic.

Bob Hennessy shreds the waves and can also teach you how to be one bad shredder.
