Groovey Cruiser

Sweet man, sweet. This week has been a little hectic with all these parties, events and contests but it was all good because I had my ear the street like a true INW (Indian Ninja Warrior). Here's what I heard, the latest surfing subculture, tray boarding or traying, has taken Southern California by storm. John Reynolds, aka Big J, is like the Duke Kahanamoku of traying and he's the editor of this killer mag Tray. This months cover has Nollan, aka Nolo, pulling into a life changing tube, its tray cool.
Also, when I was cruising around Newport I ran into RVCA rider and all time legend Christian. He's claiming the Sabre vision party should be off the hook tonight and the shades are f-in dope.
Alright Peace out Girl Scout!

NSSA Nationals

This coming week 100's of groms storm Southern California's best wave, Lower Trestles, for the NSSA Nationals. In the US, this is the biggest and most important amateur surf contest for young up and comers trying to make it to the next level. RVCA is proud to sponsor the NSSA Hawaii, ran by our favorite ladies Bobby and Miko Parker (pictured above). Ford Archbold hails from that conference and is out for blood this coming week. I'll be down at the beach all week cheering on the team, getting tan and surfing on the sidelines. Go FORD!!!!

International SK8 Day

Good times over here on International Sk8 Day which apparently coincides with International Surf Day, so we'll just call it International Shred The GNAR Day. The Florence family all showed up to shred the ramp; Alex, Jon Jon, Ivan and Nathan, other atendees included Alex Knost, JP Colette, Tom Reese and a few adoring fans. Classic skate shenanigans were going down, games of skate, conga line speed runs and butt drop-ins.
